So far my raw diet is going pretty well, though I have decided I'm going to eat a few cooked convenience foods as I am transitioning. Last night I had a 6inch veggie sub from subway and some chips because I really needed to eat and couldn't go home.
My main problem at this point is that my parents are trying to sell the house so I'm not allowed to use the kitchen 24 hours before a showing because its all been cleaned. This means no smoothies, no dehydration, nada. The biggest thing I can really do is grow sprouts, and those seem to be doing very well! About half my seeds have sprouted so far. Hopefully my mom will help me take care of them because I'm going to Vermont tomorrow night and I doubt that they will be ready then. In Vermont I'll probably have to eat less raw since I will be at a friend's house but I think I will make do alright.

I wish you all the best. What I have found hardest is family and friends and being out and about...I dont really want to draw attention to my choices...so sometimes I end up making do...anyway, great blog.

I am SO glad I found this blog, reading the preface sounded like something I would say! I've been vegan for 3 years (first for health reasons, wanting to be healthy, then completely for ethical reasons) and NOW after all this time I am feeling the best and most vibrant when I eat raw! You are going to be such an inspiration and help for me along this journey!

You'll be fine. I became a vegan last Sunday after being a vegetarian for for 5yrs. Not raw though. However, I know that once that stage falls into play it will feasible to manage.

Good luck! I've read through most of your blog recently, and it's part of what led me to go vegan a few months ago. I can't wait to see more posts about raw food.

Just a question: are you planning to grow all your food in future by yourself? My boyfriend and I are sometimes joking about buying a farm and do so. I think it would be a quite interesting life but laborious too :-(

I have problems like this so often. My family seems to be stressed 24/7... a lot is down to my dad being ill long-term and my mum not letting anyone help her. Very frustrating. I hope I can start this diet and I don't have to wait until I can move out and have my own kitchen xD

Just want to wish you the best of luck. I have been reading more about going raw myself and have been increasing the amount of raw food in my diet each day. I will probably make a slow transition that way as well. I will follow your blog and your progress!
