Comments

I find it quite amusing how all derogatory and anti-vegan comments are anonymous...

On the last post, there were two (one of which the same person has posted before) comments that I happily deleted because they were fucking stupid took away from the point of the post.

As I've said before, I delete all comments that fall into the category of being rude, anti-vegan, distasteful, or that contain false information (whether or not it was with malicious intent). I usually get to them within 24 hours, so theres no point since most people wont read them :)

But just to give these assholes people a fair debate (which I dont mind if the opposition is worded in an open-minded and polite way), here it goes.

1) Animals are not killed in wheat and soy production in enough numbers to say that eating meat is less harmful than eating animals. If you care so much about animals to eat them (preventing deaths relating to soy and wheat harvesting), then just dont eat. Vegan for AR is about reducing as many cruel incidents (including death) as humanly possible.
By the way, these deaths or not more common than other endangered fish being caught with tuna.

2) Deleted Comment number 2 was removed because the information was false. There is no solid evidence that states so causes problems for women. A select few women are affected by plantoestrogens (found in soy) and it raises their estrogen levels. This can be determinded, and Ive suggested that adult women who consume a lot of soy (over 2 or 3 servings per day) get the blood test that can tell you if you are affected or not (I dont know much about the subject, sorry for the lack of clarity in this field)

I personally consume a low amount of soy.

In most studies, soy has been shown to relieve symptoms of menopause and premenstrual syndrome, and to help fight certain cancers. Many of these studies are from reputable foundations and organization. Through research and other sources, Ive seen and heard that many anti-soy or studies that suggest soy is harmful are sponsored by dairy and meat companies.

Thats it for those two impolite comments : )

I'm also considering blocking anonymous comments since virtually 100% of the negative comments are anonymous, but I dont wish to stop the many wonderful Anon comments I receive.

So heres a thank you and shout out to all my lovely readers who leave me kind words. You guys make my day :)

Thats all folks!

Just when I think most of the population is getting smarter...I am wrong. Sorry to hear about your though time with negative comments. You can delete or block any comment you wish...it's your blog and people need to respect that.

Hope tomorrow is a better day!

Hi Allie,
I like your comment about causing as little suffering as possible. That's a good answer. We do have to eat something, and a vegan diet is the most compassionate.

Blogging is new to me-I just started a vegan blog (my son showed me how). Please visit my blog at vegangrandma.blogspot.com.

Wow, I dont know how you do it. Im all for stopping animal abuse where its needed but not putting animals before people. I am a hunter and I love to donate my harvests to the needy of my comunity. I dont care what y'all say, Ill always love hunting and eating my harvest.
