Veganism is HOT

I just happened to come across this while surfing the web:

According to MSN.com, Veganism is a hot topic, nice!
With all these celebs being vegan, the status is certainly well merited. Here are just a few famous vegans:
  • Albert Einstein
  • Alicia Silverstone
  • Andre 3000 (rapper, of OutKast)
  • Elijah Wood (Frodo!)
  • Joaquin Phoenix
  • Natalie Portman
  • Tobey Maguire (Spiderman!)
  • Pat Thetic (drummer of Anti-Flag)
  • Tim McIlrath (personal hero, singer of Rise Against)
  • Weird Al Yankovic
  • Emily Deschanel (Bones!)

I'm actually wicked excited about this because I never knew Emily Deschanel was vegan, and I am completely OBSESSED with the show Bones. She is like my complete role model and t.v. twin. And she happened to play a minor part in Spiderman 2 with Tobey Maguire. With a (tv) scientist, Frodo, Spiderman, the best punk singer ever, and Weird Al, vegans are quite hot! (Tim McIlrath and Tobey Maguire are also quite the sexy beasts!)

Oh the wondrous useless facts that brighten my life that I find through blogging! :)

your into skating, style changes from emo/skaterish to girly, dont like tofu too much(haha just thought id throw that in), vegan(of course), more into being healthy and looking pretty than being stick thin, good grades, used to have depression problems, you like to cook/bake and stuff, and you have a link to peta2..so im guessing youre a part of that?

I'm slowly becoming a vegan myself so I happened upon your blog while checking out the internets for veganism. I think it's great that you're starting so young. I'm in my mid-twenties and just finally got hit over the head about what we're doing to ourselves and our animals. So go you! :)

Also, I have to add that I am a HUGE Bones fan as well and ED is such an inspiration.

I came across your blog on BlogExplosion, and just had to say hello to a fellow vegan. Veganism is definitely picking up momentum. Very exciting!

Other famous vegans I love are Thom Yorke of Radiohead (just saw them in concert - amazing!!!), Clint Eastwood (who says real men don't eat tofu!), Morrissey, of course, of The Smiths (check out their album Meat Is Murder), Alice Walker (author of The Color Purple), Casey Affleck (he was brilliant in Gone, Baby, Gone), Gillian Anderson (X-Files) and of course Pam Anderson (tireless PETA promoter).

I became a vegan as an adult and have faced everything from ridicule to rage. I can only imagine being a teenager and making this choice. Young activists such as yourself are veganism's best hope.

BTW, I'm the pet parent to two adorable kitties. When you get a minute between work, school, sports and blogging, I hope you'll stop by my blog.

All the best.
